Eats Mr. Hungry Man.
Chews Mr. Hungry Man.
Feasts Mr. Hungry Man.
"Quite a fine meal,"
Says Mr. Hungry Man.
"Please give my regards to the chef."
Behind the Poem...Life of Brian
I don't know what to say about this one other than that I am thoroughly amused with myself. It came from nowhere, no specific inspiration, I was just sitting on the floor writing things and *bam* there it is. I believe I wrote this at the same time as "Couch Potato", so if that has anything to say I was probably a little hungry.
Mr. Hungry Man is just a happy man who likes to eat some good food. Probably in a nice suit with a reservation. Think 'The Life of Brian' restaurant scene vibes, but no explosion. Or maybe there's an explosion, we don't really see whether the waiter offers him a mint or not at the end of this poem so that's up to your imagination. Do with that imagery as you will.
